Yep. You guess it. It's not just my mind going fast. My little Zoom Zoom was the victim of a speed trap in the oddest of places. Just where the speed drops 10 miles per hour at the crest of a hill (who puts a speed change there anyway!).
And believe it or not - It was my very first speeding ticket ever! I've been rammed from behind several times and in two totalled-car accidents, but never my fault. But never a speeding ticket until now.
My price to pay $105. I was going 48 in a 35. It was 45 mph but I guess my eyes just missed the sign. Going 3 miles over wasnt a big deal to me, but then missing that sign dropping it down by 10 got me.
Anyway - my hubby was with me, I had very little words to say. I always thought that I would burst into tears if I ever got a speeding ticket. I was very proud of myself when the guy simply wrote the ticket and thanked us for wearing our seat belts.
And if it wasnt for the other jerk cop car that pulled in behind us not allowing us to back out to depart - I would not have been too bothered at all (I guess they thought I'd try to flee the scene or something). I guess Mazda's can be intimidating that way *smile*
I've paid the ticket online, but no receipt yet. The fine print says if you dont get a confirmation email with in 48 hrs then you have to appear in court. I sure hope I get that receipt! (should have mailed it in!)
Countdown to never have to drive that road many times more. Just let the house sell. It will truly be a road less traveled for me!

As a fellow zoom-zoom owner, I sympathise!! Only I have the family-friendly version, nobody stops a minivan LOL! (I have a 5)
Those were some over-zealous coppers, jeeeez that's hardly over the speed limit at ALL, wtf?!
House! Sell! SELL I command ye!!! Let this woman free to get the hell out of Dodge!!
Oh Technodoll...glad I am not alone in feeling the power behind a Mazda. BritGal Sarah just got one too (a fellow blogger). I want a new one, but will have to wait now with the move and all.
I love how commanding you have been with the Wills of Fate and our house selling. It's working so far - the buyers want to up the move in date to Fri 5/30. We said yes hoping the inspection goes smooth or that they are in such a hurry that they dont even want us to fix anything *wink*
Command away my friend! :)
If they want the house that badly, the worst that an inspection would bring (if it shows any house hiccups) would be an asking for price reduction to compensate for the repairs.
I'm sure your house is nice and solid!! GET READY TO SIGN THE PAPERS HUN!!
w0000000000t!
